This place is amazing. The food is delicious! I love going here for a Cuban coffee and their coconut macaroons! Everything is made the day of and the staff are really welcoming and provide a great experience!

It's hard to not visit a place that is so passionate about every dish. A can't miss stop if you are staying in a surrounding hotel. The flavors in the food and the life changing coffee will have you in joyous tears.

I took my grandson there for lunch today and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The food is out of this world and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy you feel like you're home.

Great food and amazing staff. The Flan is fantastic! I am not a big dessert person, but I highly recommend trying it. The decor in the restaurant is cool and unique. Definitely look around when you visit. Fyi, there are no cigars in the box in the men's bathroom...

This place feels like my own little secret and I almost wish it was! The food is so good and the service is kind and welcoming. Their pork, bread, and Maduros are easily my favorite things but i don’t think there is a bad item on the menu.

I love this place. They have delicious food, great quality ingredients, and are wonderful at service. I've wanted to order family dinners recently and saw that they are closed during the quarantine. I really hope they re-open when the world is safer for serving up deliciousness.

Veggie plate was very tasty. Had a macaroon that was very good. Also had the rice pudding cake(my husband ate it before I could get a picture) which was delicious!! The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and willing to explain everything. Atmosphere inside was great. Only reason for 4 stars is that the food was very oily. We plan on returning when we visit CO again.

WOW! Take it from a Cuban; this is as authentic as it gets! Can't go wrong here. I'm new to Denver, ate at other "Cuban" places and the difference between those and this restaurant is day and night. Flavor town.

My friend and I went for the cubano sandwich. It came with three fried plantains which were a nice sweet accompaniment. The family that runs the place is friendly and we felt so welcome when we arrived. We were given samples of the days specials and had we not been set on the sandwiches we definitely would have had one of those. The meat in the cubanos was tender and juicy. I would have liked more pickles, but I could have asked and didn’t.

Best Cuban food in Colorado. Pillowy soft bread, lovingly slow cooked meats, all authentic-all delicious. Don't forget your shot of Cuban coffee for a pick up after the food coma your going to have

A friend brought me here while I was on vacation. I was pleasantly surprised and elated that such a delicious Cuban restaurant exist in Colorado. The pork and seafood were excellent. The owner and staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely stop by again when in the area.

Oh my God this deliciouness was amazing. I don't remember what it was called, some kind of steak, but it melted in my mouth it was so tender and juicy! Huge portion of food that left me full with a lot of beans and rice still on the plate. Service was amazing and the owner even brought our food out to us. He was super friendly and wore a sincere, engaging smile!

My meal was superb and the coffee was out of this world!!! I was so content, full and happy afterwards and can’t wait to eat my leftovers for lunch today!!!! Highly recommend 💕

Wonderful, wonderful experience. I’ve wanted some real Cuban food for a long time ever since I tasted many good restaurants in Miami, and this place is absolutely PERFECT. The food is amazing and tasty and delicious and very very flavorful. And besides this, the customer service is absolutely phenomenal. The main chef is so passionate about this food and his heritage and his family, and he made all our food to order (even though he normally wouldn’t) and he even paid for us to try the sweet fried plantains because he was so excited for us to try them. I would come here every day if I didn’t live so far away. Also, apparently the guava pastries are so popular they usually sell out first thing in the morning, and I am ALWAYS looking for those delicious things. Overall, a very authentic, warm, and familial place to go with a date, a family, or just by yourself!

I finally ate here today! It seems like it has been there forever yet I had yet to go! The food was amazing! The staff was amazing! The dog was amazing! I can not wait to go back! Treat yourself! U will be sooo happy u did! BRAVO

My buddy had a house painting business. While I was between employers for a few months I worked with him on painting jobs. We had a "I know a better restaurant than you do" game running for about a dozen weeks. We were painting a house on Green Mountain one day and I called "I know a better restaurant than you do!" and we went to Frijoles Colorado for lunch. He was pondering the menu but I stopped him. "Don't look at the menu, look at the stove!" So I asked "What's up with that?" It was mango chicken over saffron rice with fried plantains on special. Two, maybe three bites in my buddy pushed back and declared me the victor in the "I know a better restaurant than you do" contest.

The food and service was amazing. This is one of the best Cuban places in Colorado. The reason this is 3 stars is because when I went here to eat about a week ago, they had a dog in the kitchen. The main cook was wearing gloves however I thought I saw the other cooks and cashiers, etc. petting the dog without gloves. I looked on Yelp and turns out that they have failed multiple hygiene inspection checks. Excellent food and service, but terrible hygiene.

This place is amazing. The food was really good. I had to keep on a sandwich with plantains and a Cuban coffee all of it was prepared to perfection. The only thing better than the food was the service. All the staff was extremely friendly and over the top camaraderie. Highly recommend this place if you don't go here you'll regret it.

This is the Cuban restaurant you've been searching for! There is no better in Colorado. The pork is slow cooked to perfection and the staff is always so friendly. They serve real Cuban style coffee that is strong but never bitter

The food is amazing. I wanted to take a picture of the beautiful plate of pork (lechón), yucca and black bean rice (moros). But it just didn’t last long enough.Do yourself a favor and try this wholesome comfort food.

Friendliest owners ever! The food was delicious. The croquetas were excellent. Also try the Cuban tostada. The Piccadillo wasn’t that great, but that was the only dish like that. You have to try the guava and cheese empanadas, and the red beans and rice were excellent! Tres leches and rice pudding were also good. I’m just listing everything, I recommend!

The real deal! Coming from Florida, I like to think I know Cuban food pretty well (I've also been in the industry for 30 years). The food here is truly authentic and flavorful (in all the best ways!). I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which is my person holy grail for Cuban food valuation. When done right, they are amazing, when not, they are preposterous. Not only was this sandwich AMAZING, the staff (owners) were equally amazing. They greeted me with true friendliness and amiability. I was offered, out of the blue, a sample of the evenings special (It was great). After some chit-chat, I was offered another sample of their house specialty of their signature pork with rice and beans. Hands down delicious. The best Cuban rice I have EVER had. In town for work, and will take advantage of a real dinner before heading home. Top of the list for any return trip!

The Arroz con Pollo (Chicken and Rice) was just like at home "con Mami", delicious!Flan is always out of this world, "Besitos de Coco" (Coconut Macaroons) are a must. Can't forget the "Pastelitos de Guayaba" (Guaca Pastries) for my wife, or else....My favorite place to eat and they make you feel like part of their family.
